Shadow Visits

Spend the day with an AHS freshman and begin making friends forever! Attend classes, meet students and teachers, eat lunch in our cafeteria, take a tour, and experience life at Assumption firsthand.

How do I schedule a visit?

To schedule a visit, have your parent or guardian contact Lisa Van Wallaghen in the Public Relations, Recruitment, and Admissions Office at (502) 458-6258, or use our online form.
Please schedule your visit at least 48 hours in advance and plan to visit on a day when your school is not in-session. Eighth grade students are invited to shadow in the fall and seventh grade students are welcome in the spring.
You will be matched with one of Assumption's freshman REPS based on your academic or extracurricular interests. Our REPS are trained to help you get the most of your shadow experience and can't wait to meet you. Your visit will begin at 7:45 and end with a tour of AHS at 1:50.

What will my day be like?

7:30-7:45: Meet us in the main foyer off the Tyler Lane entrance.
7:45-8:00: Learn a bit about AHS, meet your freshman REPS, and get excited about your visit.
8:00-1:20: Attend classes and eat lunch in the cafeteria with AHS students.
1:25: Tour AHS with future Rockets and guests.*
1:50: Ask your parent or guardian to pick you up in front of the Convocation and Athletic Center.

What should I bring?
	A book or magazine will come in handy if our students have a test or a quiz. Lunch is on us! You will be provided with a $2.50 lunch voucher, but pack a few extra dollars in case you'd like something extra.

What should I wear?
Casual clothes, including jeans and tennis shoes, are appropriate attire. Students should not wear shorts or midriff-baring clothing.

* Parents are invited to share in the experience by joining students for a campus tour. To do so, please inform us when scheduling the visit and report to the lobby of the Convocation and Athletic Center at 1:20.
